Dual Refrigeration
One of the ways that we at Novum, stay current with the latest in technology, is that the majority of our machinery use dual refrigeration. If the cabinets don't come standard with Dual refrigeration, Novum can offer you the opportunity to upgrade to the dual functionality.
With dual refrigeration, there are two main features:
The first feature is the use of 2 smaller compressors. It is important to know that this is a more efficient method than purely using the larger the compressor. Generally speaking the larger the compressor the less efficient the cabinet becomes. So by using duel compressors we are maximizing the potential of the efficiency of the cabinets.
The second feature is that with dual refrigeration you always have back up. So if one temporarily fails, you still have the other to keep items fresh. With two compressors running, the cabinet should be at about -25°C, and with one it will increase to -15°C. Thus ensuring your items are taken care of until the compressor can be repaired and in turn giving you greater peace of mind. Having one large compressor that fails means you could lose everything that you have!
Testing
With our technology, it is very important to us that the products are tested and held to rigorous standards. We shipped over 25,000 units last year and only 0.2% of units shipped made a warranty claim, showing that our units are of peak performance and show true quality, something we are extremely proud of.
To make sure that we reach this level of service, we hand build all of our products. Thus ensuring that through each step of manufacture the items are tested and checked to make sure that each part is working correctly and efficiently. We also use the newest technology of multi-spectrometers to make sure that we are able to detect any potential flaws in our cabinet giving us peace of mind that we can guarantee we are selling you a quality product.
Energy Efficiency
To help your business improve its energy efficiency, we can also offer a choice of lighting to make cabinets more energy efficient. When hand building your cooling unit, you have the choice of two different styles of lighting. Our units currently come standard with T8 florescent lighting, but can be upgraded to the LED lighting system that provides a lower energy release. With this lower energy expulsion it means a smaller degree of heat is released into the unit, benefiting your cabinet by using less energy to keep it cool. These LED lights also last about ten times longer than anything else currently on the market.
